Meanwhile, I have a couple of Angela Duguay's adorable nekochibis in the guest art page, and I celled the Crashers era Ran finally ^^; Translated the Crashers songs finally (although those were REALLY half-assed translations) and the OAV songs (which are somewhat better). Updates are slow in coming, gomennasai.
9.19.99 The Music Clip is truly cool ^^ Well, to tell the truth, I was a little disappointed the first time through, since the Other Side of the Moon clip was sort of dorky, and the whole thing was only 23 minutes long ;_; but watching the other three clips on my roommate's restored TV at full volume was much fun =D The Tokyo Sling clip I love the best, of course ^^ The animation style is so gorgeous =D The style for Carnival 2000 I didn't like so much, but the animation itself made up for it. Weiß vs. Schwarz!! =DDD Last in My Winds was all still-shots ;_; but it was cute, as Yanagizawa took the images from the DED booklet and drew the characters in the backgrounds instead of the seiyuu ^^; The orchestration for that clip was probably the best, though. But Tokyo Sling... =D~~~~ Anyhow, I bought the October Animedia yesterday, and they had OAV chara pictures! Unfortunately only of their work outfits, but they also had a color hanken in the mag which showed some of the color schemes. Aya's got a white trenchie =DD but I like the black trenchie better. And everyone's clothes are so tight... but Ken's got double bugnuks now =DDDD Anyhow, the ad in there said that the date for the OAVs was moved up -again-, but this time to an unconfirmed date sometime in November -_- and January -_- so... I ordered it, and the OP and ED single... and the last Dramatic Precious disk... so... I'll get to see when I actually receive those ;_; Ijou.

While Melody's off drooling and screencapping the Music Clip, I'm here getting depressed over how the Dramatic Precious storyline is going ;_; Anyhow, I messed with the discography section to include my new stuff, and updated my cels page (Aya-->Stuff-->Cels) with a surprisingly very nice Omi cel ^^
9.5.99 I took the Aya background and Win95 logos I'd made off of the front page, but you can download them respectively from here and here. I'll probably put those sorts of downloads in the Aya section once I'm done revving up the other pages. Mostly, the problem will be me getting off my ass and actually -making- the pages, and worse, making the images for the pages, since I don't have my own scanner, and I tend to not like using the images I've found online for them (though I have a gallery 20megs plus of found images not including my own ^^;). Please bear with me; I'm a little tired right now from selling stuff on eBay and drawing, not to mention waking up at 7 every weekday for classes. The first planned changes and updates will be a final completion of all the dem lyrics and translations on the discography, and getting the AX 1999 cosplay archives up. 6.27.99 As the summer session draws to a close, I find I have more and more things I want to do, and less and less time to do them. I won't list them all out, since I can't possibly remember them all, but they include costume, contest, finals, lab exam, and geez, moving out *sigh* I'm not going to be getting anything done on this site for this week at least, but I put up a few of the Mary & a Kitten translations online, at least the first three, Who's That I.D., Mary & a Kitten, and Glass Window. As for the cel of Ran, that's not going to get done anytime soon (because I can't find time to CG it properly *sigh*) Oh hell. I'll be back once I finally get back to Southern California.
6.18.99 Nothing -particularly- new today. Lately, I've been drawing like mad for various reasons, and CGing like nuts, and studying, drooling over my Aya and Amano cels that just came in from Risan Sales today (and Mm... Aya looks pretty damned good with his eyes closed) and comparing the cel styles. If the Aya cel is any example, then apparently, they inked on the top of the cel, then painted from the back, which is a lot different from the Escaflowne cels I've seen, which are inked and painted from the back. Anyhow, I put up two pictures for the 4000 hits so far, a misty one of Aya holding Sakura (I tried emulating the strange, loose and pastel sort of style I see rampant on most Japanese fan art, but on barely any extra-Japan fan art. I like it), and a simple cel-style CG of Aya wearing a new trenchcoat ^_^;
Oh yes, right! I'm selling my sketch of Aya drawing out his katana on eBay here in a test attempt to see where things stand with my artwork. The way I see it is that if someone's avid enough to bid at the reserve price of $20, then I'm doing well ^^;

Including a copy of the Velvet Underworld single, which I'd ordered along with the Das Ewige Dasein CD back in February, but they didn't have stocked or had mentioned in the backlog, so I'd thought they'd forgotten O_o;; so, if it manages to reach my summer residence (since it was addressed to my old address, and forwarding sucks here -_-), I'll have another VU disk O_o;; I also have another Gakken mook I'm agonizing over whether to dissolving the binding glue and scan -_- *naki* BUT butbut, Crashers Knight & Ran, Mary & a Kitten, and the first Dramatic Precious disk all came *JUAD* I like them all so much I barely have enough time to listen to them all ^^ I'm glued on the Crashers music, but the drama disk only has the singles (and dumb me didn't want to bother ordering the singles. How terrible hindsight is...), and the Mary & a Kitten music is GREAT! But the Dramatic Precious songs are kind of dorky -_- the drama itself is another story. SHION-SENSEI!! DOUSHITE Akuma ni natta no?! *naki* Well, I put up the info in the Weiß kreuz page, just no song transliterations, but a few summaries, and I finally activated the Aya page for my cosplay bits. 5.8.99 *pants* Sumimasen! I've been cramming for tests and writing an essay, so I've been too wiped out to put up that I'd been planning to. But yesterday, I visited Sasuga (only to find out she never even ordered the Weiß mooks for me -_-;;) the other day, and picked up the Escaflowne Anthology *cackle* and then to Kotobukiya, where I picked up their last May issue of Animedia, and was I glad I did. Eer.. shocked, even. Koyasu's hair in the little interview they've been doing looks freaky... curled outwards and such, but the photo-shots for his new solo album: Merii-san no Koneko looks a smidgeon better, after he'd cut it previous to the photos, so he's back to the momiage style, but also back to black hair ;_; and I don't know what kind of gel he used, but it's -very- scruffy/frizzy. It released 5.21 along with... Crashers: Knight & Ran X_x Read up in the Weiß section; I'm not going to reiterate my shock here. But it's -funky-, seeing new Weiß related media without Weiß being together anymore. And apparently they renamed the Dramatic Collection IV to this long-winded name "Dramatic Precious 1st Stage -Sleepless Night-", so I dunno. The catalog number is still the same.
5.4.99 *speechless* Where have I been?!!? And not a single Weiß sketchy to show for it!! *wails* Well, yes, all right, I actually have been doing something. I've been studying, trying to play FF8, and putzing around. But that's all gonna change!! *wahahahs* *waha...aahh..* well, -after- my finals next week, that is -_-;; DED and Gluhen are GREAT, BTW, no matter how much fun my friend makes of Yuuki's legs (*agrees with his comments in that brigade*) and Koyasu's hair (*grump* Well, that's only because I have that hair, too). And I've been listening to Gluhen and the three Dramatic Collections muchly so ^_^;; #1 is The Holy Children, which concern Ken and a nun he knew way back who counsels troubled children, including Naoe Nagi (pre-Schwarz era) and his sister, only to find that the nun works for the Schwarz twisting the minds of the young children with her therapy to drive them to kill people through sound cues. Nagi, unknowing of this, blames the Weiß for his sister's subsequent death and their mission to take out the nun, blows up the church, and joins the Schwarz. Ironic, ne? ^_^;; Endless Rain is just... alllllll Aya *MYAHAHAH* LOTS different from the manga, as two years ago, he was a lacky working for Kritiker, the information-gathering arm that Weiß forms the elite hit-squad of, working at the Aoba temple under the guise of an Ikebana school with fellow Kritiker members Shion, Kikyou, Tsubaki and Kuroyuri. Aya's gentler years, he became friends especially with Kikyou, who had similarly lost a sister, and came under the tutelage of Shion, a master with the katana, who's skills had awed the gawky teenager (the other four being all in their 30s) enough to want them to enact his own revenge. For their first mission, Shion gives Aya his sword to use... Augh. I'll write up the synopsis eventually ^_^;; Along with everything else -_-;;; like my essay *twinge* OH YEAH!!! I finally got my ass around to translating the rest of the manga!! YAyAY!! *crashes majorlly, as it's 7:20am*

4.11.99 Saa...@.@ Somehow, in between ogling my Weiß tour tapes and drama-tizing my RP transcripts, I've managed to do a few things worthy of note (heh). First! I translated all of the songs for the DED tour, so that includes all the lyrics that were printed on the poster which I don't have in CD format yet, i.e. some of the singles music and some Gluhen songs. Second! I've started stuffing up translations of the drama disks (belated "yay") which are going to be used for the fandub, eventually. Please ;_; don't steal them. I worked very hard them them (not to mention HTMLing them *augh*) and if they don't seem to translate directly from the transcribed Japanese, that's because I had to adapt it to a radio drama. Some things sound better in English than direct Japanese-to-English translation. All I've up is the Prologue: Eternal Angel for now. O-machi shite orimashita!

I put up the transcripts of Dramatic Image Album I up a while ago, but didn't bother to update it here, not like I guarentee its accuracy, since I did it entirely by ear ~_~ and I haven't had time to translate it fully yet. But meanwhile, I stuffed up the transliterations for the SdH and DED songs and some translations here and there. Now granted, these transliterations are by ear, and my ears aren't so great, so if you're a Japanese speaker and find some flagrant typo in my scripts, *L* it's probably either because they were talking too fast, or I just heard it wrong. No translations yet. Ugh. Leave that to later. Also translated some of the Das Ewige Dasein songs half-assedly, so some work and some don't ~_~ sorry. I haven't formatted them correctly. And... *JUAD* I got Weiß kreuz 1-16!! ARIGATOU HIKARU-CHAN!! VIDEO GA DAISUKI! So eventually I'll be putting up either transcripts of those @.@ or summaries sometime.

2.18.99 Ack, it's been a while. But that's because I've been working on the first Drama disk transliterations! Not that I'm anywhere near done ~_~ I've only finished the prologue and the first scene, and I'm translating on the way. I'm also insane, having put up these new pages when I really ought to have been sleeping. Ugh. I scanned the rest of Weiß 1. No new translations yet. Scanned the images from the Dramatic Image Album II (couldn't find the stuff for the first disk o.O until a few hours ago, hidden under some clothing. Ugh.) and from these neatopino postcards my friend got for my ^^; in the Anime section O.o although they are Tsuchiya pictures. o.O Don't ask me why. I'm too lazy to transfer all the files with my 56k connection *gah*.
2.9.99 Changed the layout of this updates page so that it's the most recent update on top, finally ~_~ Ahh.. stuffed up more translations of the first manga, but no images o.O which I was too exhausted from science classes today to scan them ~_~ I'll try to scan them tomorrow after archery. Editing the B&W Schwarz picture from the chara section and smoothing out all the raunchy screen-tone dots was a horror. Ugh. It looks... horrible now, but it looks like -something- and it doesn't have that terrible hatchmark pattern that I couldn't remove any other way than hand-smoothing. Ugh. OK... stuffed up good-sized scans of the Chara section in the manga, the sketches of each character (all except for Birman O.o a doubly mysterious woman... *L*), the Chill Outs for the second manga, and that pretty but terrible-to-scan Schwarz spread at the very end. I'm... working on the transliteration of the first Dramatic Image collection, but I haven't gotten to far on it yet.
Oh! And stuffed up another Aya & Youji sketch in the Rakugaki section (although Aya figures more prominantly, of course)
2.5.99 I edited the manga to make it a minutest bit more comprehensible -_- my English, despite it being my first language, is all convoluted and screwy, and English and Japanese don't translate very straight with each other... Japanese has a lot of context which must be spelled out in English. Thus, if somehow you can read the shrimpy text from my images and see that the Japanese doesn't jive with the English, that's 'cause I elaborated a bit. -_- Ah well. And I looked up cats and found out that the cat breed name is "Birman" and not "Burman", so I changed that.

I dunno even if omake is the right term for it... That's my term for any little out-of-character skit routine.) I -also- bought the February Animedia Gakken, which CONTINUOUSLY advertised their Weiß Kreuz (the anime) mook... so I ordered on right away yesterday ^^;;; but... there was no ISBN ~_~_~_~_~ So I dunno whether Sasuga Bookstores will be able to find it ~_~ If they can.. well... wow o.O Mmm... artbooks... *drool* the cover of it was good 'nough for me to buy it *L* I stuffed a scan of the cover up in the Anime section, along with some delightful parodies from the inserted Paromedia booklet (which also included parodies of Nadesico (the movie version *ick* Ruri looks -weird-), Utena, Akihabara whatever, Gasaraki, and Gundam)

Uploaded and coded most of the pages and images for the Manga section, which contains scans and (unfortunately a pitiable few, because my computer Japanese dictionary/kanji-lookup program decided die on me *pfft* Will have to download a different program) translations for the manga section for Weiß volume 2: An Assassin and White Shaman. Gorgeous book. Kickass art. Sweet manga with ~_~ no furigana for the most part *AHH!!* And... it's volume -2-. Which was released in December 20th, 1998. I haven't even seen volume 1 -_- because Shinshokan messed up my order of volume 1 o.O;; so they sent volume 2 instead. I'm not complaining... but... *wants to have volume 1* GAH. Mind torture.
