The CD Drama Crashers Knight & Ran is a [hopefully] 4-part CD drama series, planned by Koyasu after Weiß disbanded [the first drama was released on May 21, 1999], and went for more than a year until it saw a sequel in October 26th, 2000. According to the after-recording for Crashers 2: Umi ni Nemuru Yume, there will be a third CD drama incoming, and a fourth was tentatively mentioned. Except for Koyasu and Kosugi Juutarou [as the head honcho again], Crashers works with an entirely different cast than Weiß kreuz. The other star role goes to Seki Toshihiko, who not surprisingly acts as the costar/coname of the series, Knight. Others include Toochika Kouichi, a youngster with whom Koyasu worked with in Yuusha Shirei Dagwon; Tanaka Hideyuki, who did Katze in Ai no Kusabi ^^; Yashaoh in RG Veda v.2, Bean in Riding Bean :D; Ootsuka Yoshitada, whom Koyasu probably met in all the Beast Wars stuff he did; and Mashiyama Eiko, who did some character in Lupin Sansei that Koyasu liked. Koyasu enlisted the help of Shimeno Tsukasa for the character designs and various art for Crashers based on the "How sexy!" parameters. It would figure ^.~ She had a homepage called "Trinity" somewhere I can't remember. The Story Crashers Knight & Ran concerns the short year or less before Ran joined the Weiß assassin unit in Tokyo. In order to understand what happened before Crashers, however, it is necessary to recap the events leading until he joined [more or less]. Two years before he joined Weiß, Ran's sister Aya was knocked into a coma [or vegetative state, depending on where you look] by Reiji Takatori's car [or the explosion of the Fujimiya Co.'s office building]. Either way, Ran was alone after putting Aya into a sanitorium, and looked for work that would both pay her bills and facilitate getting revenge on Takatori. Either he discovered Kritiker or [more likely] Kritiker discovered him, but he enlisted and was sent to Kyoto for training with the Kritiker unit stationed at the Aoba Shrine. Because of treachery from within, everyone in the unit was killed or missing, and Ran wound up in Tokyo somehow, heavily wounded, with Manx/Erika pissed, and Persia/Marigold/King ordering him to "mire in his thoughts". Which is where the first drama begins. Crashers, he finds, is a party-crashing unit designed to bust criminals that the cops just can't get their hands on. Usually, their jobs include invade & rescue, old-fashion framing and assorted mayhem, which leaves the criminals ripe and juicy for the cops to nab. Crasher's only real restriction is that the members cannot kill. However, Crashers is double-pay over Kritiker, which suited Ran just fine... This page was coded by Jey Kama, circa 10.31.00.
