You know the format; you know what to do. ^_^
Fan soundtrack listings - the concept is, I hope, self-evident XD - are drawn up and posted with accompanying mp3s at the FST LJ Community. The following are my contributions thus far. There are no more mp3 downloads, but the accompanying notes and lyrics may be interesting in a fandom essay sense.
Angular 80's punk rock to jazzy Japanese alternative-pop, passing through the Cure and some rather mopey indie.
Hors concours screening. I could've compiled a CD of songs that remind me of TeniPuri manga canon, of course, but where's the fun in that? XD XD XD Instead I compiled a CD of songs that serve as a impressionistic stroll through the coked-out and lovable online ficcing fandom, i.e. sort of like Mussorgsky's Pictures At An Exhibition only much dumber. And with many more analog synth sounds.
Nana is Yazawa Ai's ongoing series, and possibly my favorite shoujo manga of all time. There's commercial translations in Chinese, French, Italian and I don't know what else, but none in English - and only a couple tankoubons' worth of hard-to-find scanlations. Why hasn't Tokyopop et al snapped the property up? A mystery to me. "Paradise Kiss, except with j-rock!" How can you lose?
As the series itself is about music, I had to be clever with this one. So there's a bit of everything: punk, indie, new wave, jpop, r&b, electronica. It's also framed in my mind as a "real" soundtrack - as in the music I'd use for specific scenes if I were personally directing the star-studded live-action j-dorama (from which of course a "real" Blackstones-the-band would be formed, sweeping Asia in a tidal wave of grrlpunk. ...okay, you see I'm obsessed) - and not so much an extrapolated image soundtrack like the last two. Dunno how much of a difference it makes, except to me.
And here are the "hidden-word" puzzles my sister made with vocabulary from Final Fantasy VIII and IX. (The FF7 one needs to be revised - she says - and we're still tracking down the Angel Sanctuary one...) I made them into a single .pdf file, since that's the most efficient format. You'll need Adobe Acrobat viewer to print them out.
Another one, for HP Book 5 this time. Yes, this is her way of showing love. I just write fanfic...
