Raven has pried her boots off, and underneath is wearing a pair of grey woolen socks, and a pair of scruffy black ones underneath the grey pair. She's sitting on a pile of cloaks and blankets.

Starshky comments, "I'll...I can stay here..."

Raven smiles, "Thanks."

Starshky actually stays in the spot he stopped at when he came in. He seems to be taking himself literally.

Raven tips her head looking rather like her namesake, "You can come nearer to the brazier. It'd be warmer. And I won't hurt you."

Starshky divulges, "I don't mind the bra...brazier," he says in a small, hesitant voice. "It's not scary."" Starshky still doesn't move, though.

Raven blinks, "Am I scary?" Raven pries out her scarf with a bit of work and sets it on her boots to dry.

Starshky comments, "I don't want to be too close. You might do something, and I don't like getting hurt."

Raven eyes him. Do something? What in the world would she do? He's sitting near a good blanket and knifing him would be pointless and get blood on the blanket. Raven remarks, "I don't _want_ to hurt you, lad."

Starshky inquires, "You don't?"

Raven divulges, "Yes. I don't want to hurt you." Somehow, she can see him fearing that she wants to hurt him, why is she different? Raven looks down and fidgets, "I - I just think you might be more comfy if you moved nearer." Raven pries off her jacket and pulls off her knife harness and sets them aside.

Starshky wants to know, "Does me being comfy matter to you?"

Raven states, "I know that I'm in a better mood when I'm comfortable. I like people to be in a good mood around me." Raven is a little worried that the kid's so scared that he'll get hurt. Who knows what those rags he's wearing are hiding?

Starshky divulges, "I don't understand."

Raven thinks a little, "Well - Owl - the lady I work for, she said that people who are living with people work together better when they're happy. I want you to be happy." Raven sits crosslegged on her blankets, "Lad - do you have any questions for me? Things that you want to know? I won't hurt you if you ask."

Starshky states, "I...I don't know what to ask. I've never been anywhere else."

Raven thinks a little, "Would you like to keep travelling with me? I don't think the clan would . . . take you back without - getting mad."

Starshky divulges, "They wouldn't want me back. Not any more."

Raven comments, "I'm sorry that I . . . broke up your family."

Starshky comments, "My family...I don't really have a family any more. That's why I was the Omega."

Raven remarks, "I've lost mine too. I'm sorry -"

Starshky relates, "They tried to run away. I think they died, but I'm not sure. Anyone who turns on the clan, though..."

Raven remarks, "You didn't turn. I was the one that pointed you out."

Starshky comments, "My parents did. Maybe that's why they were mad at you taking me away. "

Raven interjects, "I think it may have been partly that I didn't take one of the big guys."

Starshky comments, "I don't know. I'm only the Omega, I can't understand what an Alpha does."

Raven queries, "Do you use a name?"

Starshky swallows. "I'm...um, I'm Starshky.

Raven smiles, "Friends call me Raven."

Starshky inquires, "What should I call you?"

Raven relates, "I wouldn't be offended if you called me Raven."

Raven thinks a little, "You're . . . Sto - Starshky. Did I say that right?"

Starshky nods. "That's how it's said." Starshky divulges, "I can't say if you're right or not. You're so much better, so you know better." Starshky sounds like he's reciting it.

Raven says. "It's a nice sounding name, Starshky. And I don't always know better."

Starshky divulges, "It's warm here."

Raven blinks in confusion. That . . . seemed oddly random. Raven relates, "Um. Thanks -" Raven tips her head, "Starshky?"

Starshky looks up at her. He's still tending to huddle a bit, but she can see some relatively fresh scars and some bruises. And his skin is /awfully/ pale, what she can see of it. He's been out in the cold a lot lately.

Raven wants to know, "It - looks like you got hurt recently. Do you - want some medical stuff?"

Starshky wants to know, "What's that?"

Raven notes that she _is_ far from home if those hairy idiots who have frozen their little brains don't know what healing medicine is. Raven remarks, "Bandages - herbal things. Stuff to help you heal faster. And to help with the pain."

Starshky interjects, "You mean like what the Alphas get after they fight? I've never had any of that." Raven also thinks that if those Alpha things do know healing and don't show it to their Omega then they are evil and should die. Raven comments, "Would you like some? I've got some packed with me."

Starshky divulges, "One of the Alphas got hit with an arrow after they tried to attack a farm and he died anyway. " Starshky shivers.

Raven tips her head and looks sad, "And they hurt you for that?" Raven is guessing wildly.

Starshky divulges, "They had to. Or more bad things would happen. That's what they said. Because I was bad, he died and the...medical...was bad. So it hurt him. They hurt me so it wouldn't happen again." Starshky states, "It was really bad."

Raven attempts to not look angry. Looking angry would be a bad thing. Especially since she's not mad at him. Raven interjects, "That . . . wouldn't happen where I'm from."

Starshky queries, "Is all the medical good there?"

Raven relates, "He could have died. But you wouldn't get hurt for it. Not where I'm from."

Starshky asks, "But...wouldn't it happen to someone else?"

Raven says, "Maybe the people that hurt the Alpha would get hurt, but not you."

Starshky remarks, "They...I don't think they wanted the Alphas to take their sheep. I think."

Raven comments, "Sounds like something that the courts would have to argue on."
