Kaitlyn Finbarra
Age - late fourtiesAppearence - Kaitlyn is built like a bear. She is a short stocky woman that favors boots and a sensible wool dress. Nobody mentions that she is the only female Peer of the Realm.
Backstory - The Finbarra are a family prone to feuding. Kaitlyn stopped a long going feud by tossing a cow into a relatives cabbage garden - her family has behaved since then.
Kaitlyn is a fierce woman who studies mind control on the side. A large amount of the army is from her districts, so she could control a lot of the army. Her area is mostly rocks and goats. The dretch do not attack her areas because they know that Kaitlyn will fight back. And Kaitlyn wins.
Personality - Kaitlyn is a very dominate personality. She has a loud strong voice, and she can be very crude at times. On the other hand, she can also be very careful when she deems it necessary. Forthright to a fault is a good description. She is also very loyal to her friends.
Raven Glissander
Age - 32Appearence -
Human forms - short ragged black hair, grey eyes, usually skinny and short. Heighth is usually about half a foot under an average human of her age.
Three most common human forms - 6-8 year old kid intended mostly for skulking, 14 ish used primarily for walking around, and full adult used mainly in confrontations.
True form - 5 foot 5 ish and very thin. Skin tone ranges from grey to blues, and is androgynously female in shape. Eyes are grey, and most features are not distinct. Has approximately 5 inch long claws on her hands. Seems to be more of a gel/aquatic creature, but can breathe air. She looks a lot like those water thingies in Blue Submarine - thin sorta water nymph like. With claws. She can talk, but her voice is not audible to normal human ears - more of a very high pitched sound and occasional rumbles.
She can shift just one hand and use it as a weapon - this usually only happens when she is very desperate or very mad.
Backstory - Her parents vanished when she was six or seven. Rav says that she had a broken arm, and her parents got her a healer. When her fever broke, they were gone, and all she had was an apartment with rent due, herself, and the last name of Glissander. Raven joins the War Mongers so that she will have a place to stay at about 10-11 ish.
She is still in the noviate - or apprentice stage when she meets Williams during the war. She is technically a true Monger, but the war is preventing enough people from gathering to let Rav take her tests. Raven travelled from army camp to army camp acting as an EPS - Equipment Procurement Specialist. Her real job was to look for anything interesting - namely a Peer called Yonathen Iglesias who has some bad rumors flying about him.
After the war, she became convinced she was going insane due to suddenly hearing voices from furniture - Raven is an untrained telepath. She can hear mentally very well, but her ability to transmit is almost nonexistent. She was tested in her youth, and all they could tell was that she had potential. Her mind shields are fairly strong naturally, and only weaken under stress. Raven is basically the one that is gathering all the information in the story. Many other characters has bits and pieces but Raven is the one with a lot of the information.
Famous Incidents - Person under a lot of stress tossed Rav out of a second story window once and left her with a permanent touchy ankle. She learned to read Mainlander while healing. She rescued a friend from blood mages by infiltrating the circle of mages. Gained an identity called the Circle Breaker, and learned a lot about breaking blood mage spells.
Personality - generally cheerful and optimistic. She is very self preserving in a paranoid sort of way, but also willing, if she feels safe enough, to help anyone that she can. She is innocent in a lot of ways, but world weary in places where she has seen too much.
Nessa Allon Ranasta
Age - 35Appearence -The first thing that most people notice about Allon is that she is tall. In fact, almost 6 feet tall, which makes her tall enough to stare most Mainlander men in the eyes. Most Mainlander men stare at her breasts. Allon does not mind this much. It makes it easier to kick them in the groin.
Allon isn't that interested in how she looks. She likes people to notice her and to find her attractive, but she's not interesting in going out of her way to look attractive. Usual attire is pants and shirts.
Backstory - Allon was the daughter of a rich mage family within the Mainland. When she was young, she left her family with the family weapon mistress, Icehawk. Allon joined a mercenary troop when she got older, and eventually founded her own mercenary troop. She will not, no matter what, go back home.
Her brother, Taylander Ranasta, abused her regularly - ranging from taunts to actual physical violance. When Allon was about 12ish she befriended Icehawk. Icehawk offered to teach Allon how to swordfight to defend herself, and when she discovered a shaken and injured Allon after Tay hurt her, Icehawk carried Allon away from her parent's house. In some versions, Tay raped Allon - not that Allon would admit that.
Personality - Allon is even more loud and brash then Raven. Allon is basically an amazon woman. Men are for sex, and she likes them to be attractive and fairly stupid. She frequently gets smashingly drunk. She wants to be always right, and wants to always win. When she looses, then the other side of Allon is shown. Allon's other side is a very vunerable woman. She knows that she is strong, but she is afraid that is all people see in her. She wants to be loved for reasons other then her family name or her sword fighting ability.
