Author's Note: This is proof that the EPB's have a good side. They
sent this in the form of nice dream. I apologize to any astronomy buffs out
there if I get any information wrong.
Setting: Terra Firma
Disclaimer: Not mine...if it was, we'd have a Farscape channel.
Quiet
That was what he really needed right now. Everything was too hectic now with IASA, the media, and his family.
He opened his eyes to the sites around him. It still amazed him how beautiful Earth was...sitting there alone. A momentary bit of colorful escape from the blackness of space.
He turned his head to look around and smiled as he saw the familiar sites that had colored his imagination as a boy, but never from the vantage point he had now.
Over time his eyes fell upon Lynx, Ara, Libra, Orion, and Pyxis.
"Hello girls. I missed you."
He studied them each for their unique beauty, grateful for this chance to be alone with them. He didn't know when he'd get this chance again as the wormhole would be stable enough to leave in just over seventy hours. So he enjoyed the company of his first true love for as long as he could, but there was never enough time as he realized that his suite was starting to run low on oxygen.
"Pilot, you can pull me in now," he said with hint of sadness in his voice.
"Certainly, Commander, is there something wrong?"
"No, Pilot...I'm fine. Just going to miss some old friends."
He was not surprised to hear the sympathy in Pilot's voice when as he said, "I understand...John."
"I guess you would at that."
He took one last look around before as the docking web took hold and smiled. "I'll be back girls -- don't leave without me."
