The Adventures of Baron Munchausen
Last night I was watching the above while sitting around in #RPGamer. For the record I'm generally only ever in there the night before a rant, I pick up some interesting material ever so often.
One more thing I'd like to say before I start my official rant. Out of a spontanious burst of boredom which really surprised me since I thought I had plenty to do, I started making a Norse Mythology page. I was distracted by a bright shiny object shortly after but I might get back to it. The point is, I CAN make better color schemes for pages if I am so inclined. 8)
Now then, look at the title of this rant again because I don't feel like typing all that again. That is the title of the third movie in Terry Gilliam's "trilogy". Terry Gilliam for those of you who don't know originally did all the weird animation for Monty Python, then in the 80s he wrote and dirrected three movies, and lately he's been dirrecting other weird stuff. Anyway, those three movies are known as his trilogy. They are, in order, Time Bandits (which I think I mentioned way back in Movies, it's great), Brazil (which I think I've mentioned several times, the one filmed on Evil Film), and the movie with the same title as this rant. I had to say it like 10 times last night and got sick of typing it you see. Anyway it was an extremely cool and funny movie that you should all see after Time Bandits. Actually, all three have been on TV lately. Bravo, Sci-Fi, the Independant Film Channel... try to watch them all in order though because even though they're completely unrelated to eachother, it's better if you see them in order, mostly because if you do, you get a LOT more out of the ending to the third. I'd say what's so cool about them, but it'd spoil them. The third contains Robin Williams Uma Therman and Eric Idle though so that should get you moviing. That and the surrealism.
Anyway, last night while I was watching/taping this, I was also sitting around in #RPGamer. I only had a chance to look at what was going on during the channels which is a real shame, there were some cool conversations going on. Actually, every time there was a commercial, the people in the channel and the conversations going on were all different. Attention spans are overrated anyway.
I was planning to look at the log of the whole thing when I left but it cut off everything but the last six pages which oddly enough I was back for. Therefore, I'll have to tell stories from memory. Uh... darn. The only thing I really remember catching was that there was someone around named Merle. So I said "Merle? As in "Van-Sama!"? to which I recieved the response "Hai! VAN-SAMA!" followed by this really nifty little cat smiley. This probably has 90% of you confused, so you should all go watch Escaflowne like I've been suggesting for months at which point if you come back and read this you'll probably crack up. Oh yeah, also there was a debate over FF8's release date and someone told me that there is indeed a 3rd Unico movie, which was never dubbed over. I'm sure within hours of a friend of mine reading this he will go find a fan sub and force me to watch it. I think it's called Unico and the Black Cloud or something.
Oh, one last thing, I'm almost definately going to miss the next rant due to FF8. Do you blame me?
