Long long ago, in the Big Before Time, when the concepts of online journals and web comics were new things, produced only by a handful of people, I made a little web comic to draw people into this site. It can be argued that I wouldn't be where I am today if not for this fact, and therefore tonight I am posting a conclusion to the thing to please long-time fans. If you enjoy these doodles, look at these five and then move on to something else. All further text in this rant is really not aimed at you. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now then. Let me stress something about this here little comic. I HATE IT. Every single thing I hate about the thousands of webcomics out there is present in here. The art is terrible and frequently recycled. The artist is too lazy to ever draw backgrounds, the characters are dull reflections of the characters found in every other web comic out there. The plot consists of basically nothing but the same tired old anime and video game jokes found everywhere else. Updating is extremely sporadic. It takes the format of a newspaper comic strip but frequently stretches things over a dozen scripts without ending any of them on a high note. It starts with a stilted, stupid, 4th wall breaking character introduction strip. Quite frankly, it only even came close to being funny in the second strip, and the worst part of all is that I've always known that. I suppose I could excuse a lot of the suckage by pointing out this pile of dren predates just about all of the others, so the terrible content hadn't been done to death, to my knowledge. Wouldn't change my disgust at the end result though. So why you may ask, did I not just leave the sucker in limbo? Well, I promised people I'd finish it some day for starters, plus it's one less one eyed daruma staring at me. A daruma for those who don't know is basically a little semi-abstract sculpture of a monk's head with the eyes unpainted. When you start a project, you fill the first eye in. Then when you finish, you fill in the other. The idea is that when you have this one eyed sculpture staring at you all day, it pressures you into finishing what you started. So for example, if I really got into the suckers, I'd have a wall looking like this:
Main - Rants - Anecrophilia - Anime - The Massive Vs. The Masses - Tyranny - RPG the RPG - Simple Games - Mail Me
