For those of you who are unaware of such things, I have been unable to update this page for something like four months. You may find it hard to believe, but that sort of thing causes me to go even more insane than usual. The first big problem this caused me was that it made it impossible for me to plug the fact that I was going to NonCon here. Ironically of course, they were having problems with their web server, preventing them from pointing out guest confirmations like me. The other problem was that every weekend for the last third of a year, I have had a good three days of free time. I can't deal with that. My mind can't handle more than a day or two with no obligations, so it invents some. First off, I won a good number of video games I haven't touched in a while, or just received. You don't care though I assume. Next came a truckload of progress on this little Resident Evil fan page which you REALLY don't care about, particularly since it isn't online and has no plans to be ever in the future. You might care that I came up with a wonderful idea for an Action/Adventure game, which I'd like to actually get into development, but I won't be talking about it here. You might care that I've been talking to Thor quite a bit now that he has a roof over his head and a phone cord plugged into his computer. You might care that watching the season finale of Farscape did not send me into a suicidal pit of despair. You might care that an unbelievably generous reader of this page threw a boxed set of Trigun my way. Odds are you don't care about any of that though, so let's move on to the stuff you SHOULD care about. Well, you might want to read this story, but I want to try and get it published first. How about Anecrophilia? The attempt at a comic type thing my muse has been bugging me to work on about how cute and cuddly zombies are? There's twice as much terrible art to see there right now, although I still plan to stick to my guns on not actually suggesting people look at it until there's an entire issue up. Mainly I'm just posting this link to demonstrate the new viewing modes I added, and to give some forewarning to you that in the near future I am considering a redesign focusing pretty heavily on small image maps. Be afraid, or happy, one of those. Either way, I really need to change my links page. Oh, and speaking of web comics, recently someone pointed me at one which doesn't suffer from any of the myriad problems that make me despise the medium... well, except for the whole thing with using a daily comic strip format to tell a story that really requires the format of a book, but I can deal with that. The odds that it'd be your cup of tea are pretty low, but if you're bored and need a strange, monochrome, extradimensional physics lesson filled, Nausicaä-esque comic to read, feel free to click here. Bear in mind though that my opinion may be tainted by the involvement of slimes. Plus I'm ENTIRELY too keen on reading extra-dimensional physics lessons. One last note, which again you might be interested in. On another of these boredom filled days, I sat down and wrote out rules to a paper RPG in which the PCs sit around playing paper RPGs. It's still extremely rough around the edges, I'll have to polish it up once I finish with the new Zelda game here, but after that, I'd like to share it with you all. Now here's the catch there. When I whipped out Tyranny, I decided to experiment with whether the shareware business model could apply to this type of game. Seeing as the number of people who told me it's really fun outnumber the number who paid for it by a 30:1 ratio or so, I think I can safely say that this is not economically viable (although I have a big surprise for those who actually DID plop down Tyranny cash some time in the future). So when I finish up this little RPG RPG, I might actually try to sell it or something. I'd have just thrown it up for free mind you, but after scrimping saving and begging my way to obtaining airfare to Japan, the ticket price frelling doubled on me. Rar. By the way, for those of you who like binary, this is rant #1,000,000. Main - Consciousness Stream - Devil's Advocate - Rants - The Massive Vs. The Masses - Simple Games - Mail Me
