Repairs

     The bird was beautiful - shining black with white belly and crown - like it was wearing a helmet and breastplate. Unfortunately, its armor hadn't protected it; it was flapping awkwardly and crying out.

     So the boy did the logical thing - he put it in a box and took it to his father. "Fix it?" he asked. His father fixed his toys, and big machines. He could fix this.

     His father hesitated, and placed a hand on his head. "Yutaka... you can't just 'fix' everything."

     Soon the bird's crying stopped. Yutaka's didn't stop for a week.

     Afterwards, he decided to prove his father wrong.
