Even Better

Fate had smiled on Tsuzuki, placing a witness in a bakery. After questioning the woman, he'd purchased supplements for a lunch that had sadly lacked dessert - the most delectable cherry tarts. He savored each one as they moved on to the next appointment.

He was down to his last precious tart when he turned to Hisoka, who hadn't bought a thing. "Sure you don't want one?"

     "No thanks."

"Aw, come on - they're good! Last call..."

He held it out, and to his surprise, after a moment Hisoka looked up at him, puzzled. "...I guess."

Tsuzuki smiled and relinquished it cheerfully.
