Pokemon Drabble 1

Why do you hate us, Arthur?

The voice was as clear in my mind as if it had been spoken aloud - and for a moment, I thought that was the case, and looked around suspiciously. No one was in the lab, except for myself and...

One of Mori's pokémon was seated on a desk chair, having swiveled to regard me curiously. Why blame us for the way your peers act?

Its eyes were closed, but I remembered it was a psychic pokémon - not that I remembered what the stupid creature was exactly. Mori had named it Sigmund. I guess this was why. "Get out of my head," I growled.

I don't even need to get into your head to see how biased you are. Why, you'd think from the way you talk sometimes that we have the power to make men bend to our whims.

"You do," I replied, "even if it's not one of those special powers like breathing fire or causing earthquakes. When pokémon are involved with anything, people seem to get stupider, and bloodthirstier. I don't want anything to do with you."

The little creature almost looked as if it was smiling. You sound as if you think pokémon are the masters, and humanity its servants, rather than the other way around. Do humans not control their own actions, and those of their pokémon?

The monster had a point, as much as I hated to admit it.
