"Here's another!" Bud shouted triumphantly, picking something up off the ground, where he'd just flattened yet another lullabud with his frying pan.

     "Yay!" Li'l Cactus agreed, clapping his hands at Bud's considerable strength. At least, it seemed pretty considerable to Li'l Cactus, even if Bud was not as strong as master. But who was?

     "So, we've got two seeds now," Bud told Li'l Cactus as the two turned back towards home. "We can give 'em to Trent and he'll grow things for us, just like we planned!"

     "Trenty trent!" Li'l Cactus sang cheerfully, trotting alongside Bud. Bud was much easier to keep up with than master, since he was so much smaller. "I hope he grows a really nice friend for me!"

     Bud stopped short, looking confused. "Grow... a friend?"

     "Yeah!" Li'l Cactus was excited. They'd come all the way to Luon Highway and beaten up lullabuds all afternoon in search of seeds; master and Bud and Lisa were nice, but none of them were plants like he was. "Maybe I can name it Li'l Cactus Junior?"

     "Friend... oh brother." Bud put his head in his hands. "You wanted to grow... a friend?"

     Li'l Cactus nodded enthusiastically. Bud didn't look so enthusiastic, though, which confused him. "What's wrong?"

     "...These seeds are for growing pumpkins," Bud explained, holding them out for Li'l Cactus to see. "See? They're orange... I thought you wanted to help so you could get in on this business too."

     "Punkins...?" Li'l Cactus' face fell. "But I wanted a friend..."

     The two of them walked in silence for a while longer, until Li'l Cactus brightened suddenly at a thought. "...Bud? Can punkins be friends?"

     "Er... I was going to use them to take over the world..." Bud mused thoughtfully. "But I guess they can be friends too."

     "Hooray!"
