They'd been drinking, which explained why they had decided to go clothes shopping the next day. They were Emishi and Amon, which explained why they'd been talking about dressing Emishi up like a girl in the first place, and why they wouldn't back out of a drunken dare.

     What had no explanation was why, when Emishi came out of the dressing room wearing a little black miniskirt and matching jacket over a pink halter top, his hair down around his face and sunglasses stowed away, Amon looked like a deer caught in headlights.

     "Amo-yan...?"

     "...I'll pay for this joke, Emi-yan."
