Although Emishi could drive, he didn't have a car or anything. Being a member of Volts, even a high-ranking one, didn't exactly pay much. And he didn't go many places far enough away to make driving worth it. So when he did, he took the bus.

     Emishi liked taking the bus. Lots of strangers to test his jokes on - and if they reacted really badly, there would be a different crowd next time.

     Just don't try them on the bus driver, he'd learned - he wasn't going to be taking a certain bus ever again. Even after it was fixed.
