Taking place around 4-5 years before the game, a chance encounter with the Müllenkamp cult gives Hardin the opportunity to rebuild his shattered life - but only by fire can a man be reforged. Contains rather severe shounen-ai yaoi ...uh, homosexual content, as well as a fair amount of violence and mental anguish... Hmm. I'd give it an R rating, since it's a bit more intense than the stuff I usually write.
At any rate, this is a long story. And now complete.
First Watch
Sort of a, er, niche followup taking place the night after Burning Bridges. Hardin hasn't quite come to terms with everything just yet... I'd rate this one a rather heavy R, if you know what I mean.
The Path to Redemption
Hardin faces his past, returning to the prison where he was once held to repay old debts. Redemption doesn't always work out in the way that one expects, however.

Short little point-counterpoint fic. Hardin makes observations while watching Sydney sleep, and Sydney makes some observations of his own.
The River Rolls
During a visit to the duke's manor, Sydney asks an unusual favor of Hardin, with unusual results. Sort of a sequel to a scene in Burning Bridges.

Sydney and Ashley bicker, forge things, and try to come to an understanding during the week after the events at Leá Monde. Mostly bicker and forge things. Massive ending spoilers, and despite this dorky summary, also massive angst.

...Judging from the above stuff, you probably wouldn't guess I prefer comedy to tragedy. So here's my pointless, silly, and incredibly irreverent musical version of the story... which departs rather drastically from the actual plot. And not just because nearly everyone's going to be wearing women's underwear at some point.
