Zipper and Teddy - Troy
Zipper and Teddy
Zipper and Teddy.
Nice basic shot of the two of them. You'll note in this and the following pictures that Teddy gets red-eye more than any bunny really should. His behavior sort of lends credence to the "evil bunny" theory, too.
Teddy in the cage.
He can be a real troublemaker, but... just look at that face. Can anyone hold a grudge against that?
Zipper examines a lamp.
Possibly my favorite picture of him, even though you can't see his face. It's just so like Zipper to get up and cautiously start investigating stuff.
A little snack.
Zipper gets spinach, and Teddy gets a carrot. Teddy's actually a very picky eater, while Zipper has very unusual taste for a bunny. For some reason, nothing makes him beg harder than dried cranberries...
Hiding behind the cage...
They look a little disturbed that I found them.
Zipper and Teddy by the box.
I used that box to hold their cage door open, usually... until Teddy pretty much ripped it apart.
Teddy on top of the box.
Teddy likes cardboard, see? And getting up on high places.
Speaking of high places...
Of course, he's up there because there's newspaper to be shredded. It's his responsibility to make sure that anything shreddable in his reach is shredded.
Zipper commandeers my chair.
Zipper likes high places too, it seems, but he's generally more cautious about it. And he doesn't do it for destructive purposes - usually he'd leap into one of my chairs and settle down to doze off.
The two of them under the chair.
This was usually their favorite place to hang out and nap. Though for some reason, sometimes Teddy would take a nap right in the middle of the floor, which always struck me as amusing.
Zipper perched on a beanbag chair.
I think Teddy eventually destroyed that one, but the one behind it is still here.
The bunny fortress!
They liked to hole up beneath my papasan chair, which generally had boxes around it, kind of like barricades. So I nicknamed it.
Lounging against the wall, and each other.
Despite their little dominance battles every now and then, they're usually very sweet to each other. This pic is the perfect example.
Lazy day...
Lazy bunnies. Maybe I shouldn't have been rude enough to take a pic of them at this time, but they were so cute...
Zipper and Ryo-ohki.
As cute as Ryo-ohki is, I think Zipper's got the edge here.
Teddy wonders what the square thing in my hands is.
The flash resulting from his cute curiosity didn't stop him from trying to get another look.
Under a Christmas tree.
Every time I've had rabbits and a Christmas tree in the same room, they make a beeline for it. Rather amusing.
Behind the Christmas tree.
This is just... cute. And I'm shocked that they didn't bother that cord immediately, before I had the chance to put it up.
Zipper turns into a round ball of fur.
Something about this picture just pushes all the "awwwww" buttons. Bunny grooming is just too adorable.
Troy
Me, Troy, and Nate by a Christmas tree.
This must have been taken in about '89-90, given what I'm wearing, the length of my hair, and the fact that I'm feeding Troy-bun. He lived till a good old age of nine...
Troy liked oats.
Really liked oats. And watching him get to them was always hilarious.
Nose-washing time.
We always used to say he looked like he was praying. And it was so cute, we took more than one picture of this pose. (As well as most poses... *cough*)
Always the intellectual...
Note that he's moving the white king in this picture. In this one, the black king is not on the board... so apparently he won.
He also enjoyed other games.
Troy ponders a game of Moon Patrol. Or maybe just chewing on the Atari for awhile... I think I like the alternative.
Bunny in the back yard.
He loved it outside, was much too fond of us to ever consider running... though he would find interesting places to hide when it came time to go back inside. He didn't exactly make things easy, this guy...
Under a pine tree.
He liked this tree. Lots of good things to eat under there, it would seem.
Getting a better look around.
He always had this expression like "Huh? What's that?" when he stretched up like this.
Troy and Spike.
The little dustmop's a long-haired guinea pig who we were taking care of for the summer, who really belonged to my brother's 2nd grade class. He got sick though, because he was kind of old, and we ended up keeping him for the rest of his life...
Troy makes some new friends.
Stuffed bunnies, real bunnies... they go together so nicely. Troy also made a very large friend
Bunny wrapped in towel.
Cute. Cute. CUTE!
A fashion statement.
Looking back, he must have been an incredibly patient bunny.
Even more fashionable!
...Incredibly patient.
Troy in pink.
I don't even know why this happened. But eat your heart out, Oolong!
Troy and myself in '90.
He was always my baby... even years later.
