Paul runs the cozy, casual diner called the Honky Tonk, where the Get Backers and certain others with similar professions come to hang out and talk business with their clients. His coffee is known to be excellent, and he's a good host - except occasionally to Ban and Ginji, who chronically run up a huge tab with him due to being broke.

There may be more beneath the surface than we see, however; in addition to the Honky Tonk, Paul also owns a rather impressive supercomputer, which he occasionally uses to help out Ban and Ginji in their work.
