Amano Ginji is the more sociable, cheerful half of the Get Backers retrieval team. He's friendly and smiley and likes puppies and ice cream and... everything and everyone, more or less. He's the kind of person who believes in the goodness of people's hearts, and will sacrifice his own time and energy to make others happy, or to try to work through a problem without violence. Not to say that he's a pushover. Previously he lived in Mugenjou, a highly dangerous area in Shinjuku, and was the leader of the most powerful gang in the area called Lower Town. He has the ability to generate electricity from his body in much the same way as electric eels, which he can use in many different ways to attack an enemy - simple electrocution, electromagnetism, or the generation of plasma. He also heals very quickly, and more so when there is a powerful energy source he can pull in electricity from. Occasionally, though, he seems to overdo it, and assumes a different persona - Raitei, or Thunder Emperor. In Raitei mode, his powers intensify, and he becomes nearly invincible. |
