Yorda 1

Yorda, from ICO. Normally the whole "weak female character in wispy dress in need of rescue" thing annoys me, but there's just... something about Yorda. Maybe the fact that she's not automatically helpless just due to being female, but the way she's very pointedly a frail character, and not entirely there, as if she probably doesn't even realize how helpless she is.
As I said, there's just something about Yorda, and she makes me want to draw her. And I love the way that she's so pale, and then with thick dark lashes that make her eyes the only part of her you can see well, most of the time. I know I'll be sketching her again... this picture kind of creeps me out, because it looks nothing like my usual style.
