Supernova

I spent pretty much an entire afternoon/evening working on this one, between drawing it, coloring it, finding a background, and fiddling with contrasts on the layers... by the time I was done, I decided it kinda sucked, and left the computer for awhile... then later I came back and looked at it and realized if I'd gotten it as a Sketch Artist submission, I'd definitely have posted it with no second thoughts, so it can't be all that bad. =)
Hmm, other assorted notes... As much as I draw Sephiroth, I've never been able to get him to look completely like himself... I think this time I came closer than I have before, probably because of the smirk. Hehehe... And the background was really hard to find, I had to look all over the net for some good, large pictures of astronomical events or such, and it took about an hour before I found this one. Apparently it's M-42 in Orion. I was hoping to use something from Scorpio, (cause Sephiroth acts like a Scorpio, if you believe in that junk, which I don't), but this pic was a good second choice for two reasons. One, Orion is my favorite constellation. Two, it's number 42! The ultimate answer to life, the universe, and everything, according to Douglas Adams. =)
