"Sors, immanis et inanis..."

Another pic I've done of Sephiroth that I actually kind of like... I think I actually did this one only a day or so before the really nice one above. The perspective's a bit off, but I thought I captured a sort of mood in it. Especially after I added a couple Photoshop filters and the text.
While I was drawing this, I was sort of picturing Sephiroth sitting in the back of the truck on the way to the fateful mission in Midgar, staring out the window and thinking about his life. At that point, he had no idea what he really was. He was an orphan, for all he knew, who had made a name for himself in the Shinra army and was now a hero somehow. But now that the war was over, he had no idea what to do with his life.
"Sors, immanis et inanis" is taken from his battle theme at the end of the game. "Fate, monstrous and empty..." That sums up his character so well, in my eyes. All the things he did, he did because he believed it to be fated - that he had to do them, because of his heritage. Yet it was monstrous and empty... perhaps he didn't want to do these things at all, but after all, it was fate, it was something a man who had never known any kind of real purpose before could cling to and call his own...
